Capitol Hill’s BelRoy Apartments has long been regarded as one of Seattle’s finest examples of Art Deco architecture. Point32 oversaw the design and restoration of the 52-unit historic building, and the construction of 61 new units of contemporary housing to create a community of unparalleled design, quality and location.
Set amidst lush courtyard gardens, the project offers expansive views of the Seattle skyline, the Olympic Mountains and Lake Union. Broadway shops, the Harvard Exit, and the Capitol Hill light rail stop are within easy walking distance. Secure car and bicycle parking, and a European-style café further enlivens the community life of its Bellevue Avenue location.
Weinstein A+U, the architects of the newer structures, took design cues from the historic building, creating ‘through units’ with windows on two sides to maximize natural daylight and ventilation, thereby improving the project’s overall environmental performance and quality of life for its residents.
